{"id":2459701,"date":"2026-06-15T04:17:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-15T04:17:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2459701"},"modified":"2026-06-15T04:17:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T04:17:10","slug":"ladyhawke-leads-new-zealand-contingent-at-bigsound-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/ladyhawke-leads-new-zealand-contingent-at-bigsound-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Ladyhawke Leads New Zealand Contingent at BIGSOUND 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The first artists bound for BIGSOUND 2026 have been revealed \u2014 and there\u2019s a lot of Kiwi representation in the lineup.<\/p>\n<p>Taking place this September 1st-4th, BIGSOUND 2026 will once again bring the global music industry to Brisbane\u2019s Fortitude Valley.<\/p>\n<p>Announced today, the showcase lineup for this year \u201crepresents a rich, diverse roster of names from around the country and New Zealand,\u201d according to a press release.<\/p>\n<p>The BIGSOUND 100 lineup was curated by programmers Casey O\u2019Shaughnessy and Katie Rynne, in consultation with an expert board of artists and industry figures from across Australian music.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest name representing Aotearoa New Zealand is <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/au.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-lists\/best-australian-new-zealand-songs-21st-century-so-far-list-87989\/ladyhawke-my-delirium-88443\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ladyhawke<\/a>, who first broke out with her chart-topping self-titled debut album in 2008. Ladyhawke hasn\u2019t released an album since 2021\u2019s <em>Time Flies<\/em>, so her BIGSOUND booking could hint at new material.<\/p>\n<p>NZ-born, Melbourne-based indie singer-songwriter <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/au.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-lists\/best-australian-and-new-zealand-music-of-the-week-ecca-vandal-more-95486\/\" target=\"_blank\">DC Maxwell<\/a> will be at BIGSOUND 2026, following another industry gig at Rolling Stone House at SXSW Sydney last year.<\/p>\n<p>Tusekah, who <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/au.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/tusekah-up-and-coming-aotearoa-artists-95379\/\" target=\"_blank\">recently featured<\/a> in our Up-And-Coming Aotearoa Artists series, is part of the BIGSOUND 100 lineup, as is hip-hop trio <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/au.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-lists\/50-best-new-zealand-albums-2025-list-87758\/mokomokai-pono-87850\/\" target=\"_blank\">MOKOMOKAI<\/a>, \u014ctautahi Christchurch rocker <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/au.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/mim-jensen-sidekick-song-you-need-to-know-83865\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mim Jensen<\/a>, and indie rock
