It once was very common to find actors Seth Rogen and James Franco starring in the same movie.<\/p>\n

It seems unlikely that it will happen again.<\/p>\n

Rogen, who once was close friends with Franco, says he has not spoken to Franco in a long time and rejects the idea of working with him again. Franco faced several allegations of sexual assault in 2018, leading to a falling out with Rogen.<\/p>\n

\u201cI honestly think the nuance of it is too personal for me to get into right now,\u201d Rogen told The New York Times<\/a>. \u201cIt is a very personal thing. There\u2019s the public-facing side of it, which I\u2019ve spoken about, and I have the same stance publicly that I\u2019ve had, and I think the proof is in the pudding \u2014 I have not worked with him in years.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut the personal side of it is just so nuanced and it involves people that I don\u2019t know if I should be dragging into this. I don\u2019t know what I would benefit from getting deeply into it. Nothing has changed since the last time I talked about all this, and I haven\u2019t worked with him in a really long time and I have no plans to.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2021, Franco settled a lawsuit involving two former students at his acting school, Entertainment Weekly reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Franco and Rogen first worked together on the short-lived but critically acclaimed TV show \u201cFreaks & Geeks.\u201d They later starred together in movies such as \u201cPineapple Express,\u201d \u201cThis Is the End,\u201d \u201cThe Interview\u201d and \u201cSausage Party.\u201d<\/p>\n

Entertainment Weekly reports Franco has said he tried to repair his relationship with Rogen but with no success.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t talked to Seth. I love Seth, we had 20 great years together, but I guess it\u2019s over,\u201d Franco said in 2024. \u201cAnd not for lack of trying. I\u2019ve told him how much he\u2019s meant to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
