MADISON, Wis. \u2014 The Madison Symphony Orchestra is celebrating a big milestone this year.<\/p>\n
The orchestra has been providing music to listeners for 100 years.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, we\u2019re just thrilled for the past 100 years, we have been one of the leading arts organizations for the city of Madison and for the whole South-Central region of Wisconsin,\u201d said Executive Director Robert Reed. \u201cAnd then, so we\u2019re thrilled that we have started as a small community group. And now we\u2019re a fully professional group, somewhat the envy of many regional orchestras across the country. And so it\u2019s just a great thing to be with the Madison Symphony and have seen us evolve for the years.\u201d<\/p>\n
Reed said a lot is owed to the community for the symphony orchestra\u2019s growth because there is a dedicated group of people supporting them in the region.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd so that\u2019s what makes us be able to thrive, because we have the community who wants us to be here,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
