Tracy Morgan<\/a> is facing backlash for his disparaging comments about teachers while speaking with Saturday Night Live<\/a>\u2019<\/em>s Marcello Hernandez for Variety<\/em> and celebrity.land\u2019s Actors on Actors<\/em> series.<\/p>\n In a clip posted by Variety<\/em>, the conversation starts with Hernandez speaking in jest about getting in trouble at school for being mischievous and talking too much. Morgan defended his behavior at the time, saying, \u201cThey didn\u2019t understand you. You had a sense of humor. And they couldn\u2019t control that. God gave that to you.\u201d<\/p>\n While Hernandez took the opportunity to point out that he is now \u201cgetting paid for mischief,\u201d Morgan followed up by taking a swipe at teachers who are \u201cstill making minimum wage,\u201d before taking a sip from his mug.<\/p>\n \u201cNo,\u201d Hernandez shouted with a seemingly uncomfortable laugh.<\/p>\n COMPLEX SHOP:<\/b> Shop the brands you love, anytime and anywhere. Obsess.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cYou know how much them teachers probably making right now?\u201d Morgan asked, to which Hernandez responded, \u201cMan, not enough.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s not hard to believe that any of those who work in elementary schools are not being paid what they deserve when you consider the students they are dealing with on a day-to-day basis, and the fact that these teachers are spending their own money on school supplies<\/a>.<\/p>\n Morgan added that he \u201ccan\u2019t stand teachers,\u201d while belittling their \u201cceiling\u201d in the profession.<\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t stand teachers,\u201d he said. \u201cYou know why? Because they have a ceiling. They have a limit. That\u2019s all they ever gonna be.
