She leaned into a popular Fifties silhouette: a midi style with a cinched waist and full skirt.<\/p>\n<p>The floral print was perfect for the summer event, and she completed the look with her signature accessories: strings of pearls, gloves and a handbag.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Throughout the Eighties, she wore outfits with big shoulders and statement collars, but her style shifted in the Nineties.<\/p>\n<p>At the 1994 Wimbledon men\u2019s singles final \u2013 which was won by American player Pete Sampras \u2013 Diana donned a memorable bright red ensemble. The sleeveless shirt dress by British fashion designer Tomasz Starzewski signalled her style moving in a more minimalist direction, compared to the bold prints she often wore in the Eighties.<\/p>\n<p>But this isn\u2019t to say it was boring: the striking colour, combined with the gold detailing \u2013 giving it an almost military feel \u2013 meant she stood out from the crowd, and she adeptly accessorised the look with chunky gold jewellery.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. The bright and summery yellow midi dress had short sleeves and white panels to add a bit of contrast.<\/p>\n<p>Bright, block colours later became something of a staple for Kate at Wimbledon, with the royal modelling everything from electric purples to vivid greens for her courtside fashion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.
