Ree Drummond<\/a> is gearing up to become a grandmother of two.<\/p>\n The Food Network<\/a> star\u2019s eldest child, daughter Alex<\/a>, is currently expecting her second child with her husband, Mauricio Scott. Alex took to Instagram on Sunday, May 14, to share several photos from her and her friend\u2019s joint baby shower.<\/p>\n \u201cBoots & BBQ for two little cowboys coming soon!!!\u201d she captioned the upload<\/a>. \u201cShoutout to our besties for throwing us the most PERFECT sprinkle for baby boy. feeling so real that we are about to welcome baby brother to the crew!\u201d<\/p>\n The post\u2019s first slide featured a sweet snap of Alex cradling her baby bump while posing with her husband. Other photos featured Alex and her pregnant friend posing with their respective partners and the party\u2019s attendees. Alex and Mauricio also snapped a photo with Ree\u2019s husband, Ladd Drummond<\/a>, her brother Todd Drummond, her sister, Paige Drummond<\/a>, and Paige\u2019s husband, David Andersen<\/a>. (Ree and Ladd share five kids, including sons Bryce and Jamar.)<\/p>\n Noticeably missing from the photos was Ree. According to several users in the post\u2019s comments, Alex revealed via her Instagram Story that Ree had to skip the event because she had undergone a root canal a few days prior.<\/p>\n Fans and family members flooded the post\u2019s comments with congratulatory messages for Alex and Mauricio, including Paige, who wrote, \u201cSo excited for baby boy!!! Love y\u2019all.\u201d Todd, for his part, stated, \u201cLove you, Alex!! So excited to welcome my nephew into the world!!\u201d<\/p>\n One user said, \u201cOmg I thought you were having twins for a second! congrats to both of you!\u201d Another added, \u201cLuckiest boy in the world. so excited for your growing fam!!!!\u201d Someone else shared, \u201cWhat cool idea. 2 showers together and both having boys.\u201d<\/p>\n A different person posted, \u201cLoving the cowboy hat arch over the doorway! It looks like it was a lovely baby shower.\u201d A separate commenter stated, \u201cThis is the cutest theme! Those boys are going to be the sweetest buddies- it starts now.\u201d<\/p>\n Alex and Mauricio tied the knot in 2021 and welcomed<\/a> their daughter, Sofia<\/a>, in 2024. Back in March, Alex announced via Instagram that she was pregnant<\/a> with the couple\u2019s second child. \u201cHere we go again!! Another little blessing coming in September,\u201d she wrote alongside adorable family photos<\/a> they took with Alex\u2019s ultrasound photos. \u201cThank you Lord for our growing family!\u201d<\/p>\n Ree gushed over the news in the post\u2019s comments at the time, writing, \u201cRee Ree is just so happy. Love you guys!! Wheee!!!\u201d<\/p>\n The Pioneer Woman<\/em><\/a> star further celebrated Alex\u2019s pregnancy news in a blog post<\/a>, writing, \u201cI am so happy for the Scotts! And on a personal note even though this isn\u2019t entirely about me (haha): This time last year, I was still in the fizzy honeymoon phase of becoming a new grandmother, and in the year since, I have blissfully swum around in the beautiful, sparkling sea of Sofia Scott and have delighted in every single moment I\u2019ve gotten to spend with her. She is an absolute wonder and I love her so very much. And now she\u2019s officially going to be the eldest daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n Ree continued, \u201cI know she won\u2019t understand all this means for some time, but man oh man\u2026it will be so fun to watch.
