Bunnie Xo <\/b><\/a>opened up about her journey to motherhood months before her separation from husband Jelly Roll<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want women to know it doesn\u2019t matter what age you are when you\u2019re ready to be a mom, be a mom and when you\u2019re able to be a mom, be the best mom that you can be,\u201d Bunnie, 46, exclusively told Us Weekly <\/i>in January. \u201cGod, you know, gave me Bailee to do a run-through to make sure because my biggest fear was that I was always going to inflict trauma on my child like my parents did to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jelly Roll, 41, welcomed daughter Bailee, 18, and son Noah, 9, before marrying Bunnie in 2016<\/a>. (The country singer has primary custody of Bailee, whom Bunnie helped raise throughout her relationship with Jelly Roll.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI never wanted to have kids, and raising Bailee has really showed me that, \u2018Hey, maybe I actually can do this,\u2019\u201d Bunnie told Us.<\/i> \u201cGranted, you know, everybody gets some sort of trauma in their life, whether it\u2019s on purpose or not, but I think I might be able to crush this mom role, and to be able to do it with my husband is going to be really amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time, Bunnie and Jelly Roll were undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments to expand their family.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are keeping it very close to our chest,\u201d Bunnie teased to Us<\/i> of her fertility journey. \u201cI always say, repeatedly, that the world loves to ruin beautiful things. \u2026 So, we\u2019re excited.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nearly five months later, Us <\/i>confirmed on Monday, June 15, that Jelly Roll filed for divorce<\/span><\/a> from Bunnie after 10 years of marriage. Per the divorce docs, the pair separated last month.<\/p>\n
