Bunnie Xo<\/strong><\/a> stood by her decision to revisit husband Jelly Roll<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s affair in her memoir just months before he filed for divorce.<\/a><\/p>\n

Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic<\/em>, which was released in February, addressed how the pair got back together after getting married in 2016. They moved into a home in Las Vegas, but Jelly Roll, 41, moved back to Nashville without telling Bunnie, 46. Despite the fact that he \u201cwas talking to his ex\u201d behind Bunnie\u2019s back, she made the trip back to Nashville to try to save her marriage.<\/p>\n

\u201cBetrayal is always hard to get over. I don\u2019t think anybody can just snap out of it,\u201d Bunnie exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> before the book\u2019s release. \u201cIt is a process. You\u2019re literally grieving and you\u2019re heartbroken, but you\u2019re still in love with this person.\u201d<\/p>\n

While she had no trouble mentioning Jelly Roll\u2019s past infidelity<\/a>, Bunnie didn\u2019t want that to be the whole story. \u201cEven though the affair is a part of the book, it\u2019s not our story,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s literally what catapulted us into who we are today.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair got married in 2016 before Jelly Roll became a household name. Amid his rise to stardom, Bunnie supported Jelly Roll as he used his platform to candidly address [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Bunnie explained how she hoped that section of her book<\/a> would be received.<\/p>\n

\u201cReaders need to definitely consume it, chew on it and think about it. But they also [should] see what we\u2019ve made from that entire situation,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt completely changed who we are as humans and how we looked at love. We didn\u2019t know how to love each other properly. We both were raised in opposite households but weren\u2019t taught how to love correctly.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cI think a lot of that gets brushed over when people are like, \u2018Oh, he had an affair.\u2019 And it\u2019s just like, \u2018Well, no, actually. As a child, he wasn\u2019t taught how to love properly and I wasn\u2019t taught how to love or receive love.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Bunnie pointed out how there are \u201cmany factors that go into play\u201d in the situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re definitely more than the affair. And his daughter, Bailee, is my kid. She\u2019s literally mine. I may not have birthed her, but that\u2019s my child,\u201d she said about Jelly Roll\u2019s daughter with an ex, who he has full custody of. \u201cShe definitely played a huge factor and I didn\u2019t want to raise her in another broken home. I just feel like she deserved so much more than the cards that she was dealt in the beginning. Granted, I\u2019m never saying stay for the children because that\u2019s not what I\u2019m saying at all. But definitely whether her father and I stayed together was always going to try to be in her life to help guide her in some sort of way.\u201d<\/p>\n
