Influencer Emilie Kiser<\/a><\/strong> is speaking out about eldest son Trigg\u2019s death in her first podcast appearance since the 2025 tragedy occurred.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve gone through so many different emotions with parenting since we lost Trigg. And just being completely honest, feeling not good enough. Feeling unfit. Feeling scared. Losing a child really shows you in the scariest, most real way possible just how quickly life can change and how quickly life can be literally taken away,\u201d Kiser, 27, said on the Wednesday, June 17, episode of Jay Shetty<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cOn Purpose\u201d<\/a> podcast. \u201cI think that really scared me with Teddy.\u201d<\/p>\n

News broke in May 2025 that Emilie and husband Brady Kiser<\/strong>\u2019s eldest son, Trigg, died at age 3<\/a> after being found unconscious in the family\u2019s pool. The incident occurred just over one month after Emilie gave birth to the couple\u2019s second child, son Theodore \u201cTeddy,\u201d<\/a> that March.<\/p>\n

While authorities initially recommended pressing criminal charges against Brady, 29, because he was the only adult home at the time of the accident, the Maricopa County Attorney\u2019s Office ultimately decided against it because there was \u201cno likelihood of conviction.\u201d<\/p>\n

During her Wednesday appearance, Emilie explained that there are \u201cso many things in [her] control\u201d as a parent, she noted that she learned of \u201cso many stories\u201d after Trigg\u2019s death of a \u201cfreak accident\u201d with children.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s an element that has been hard in parenting him, is realizing that there is only so much I can control,\u201d she said. \u201cI always try to remind myself that I have a choice to make. I can either let this completely derail me more than it already has and not really feel like I\u2019m fit or able to take care of my younger son. Or I can do everything in my power to be the best mom I possibly can for him. And give him the same love that Trigg had and has.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cAnd I made a promise to Trigg right before we lost him that I was going to take care of Teddy. That was actually my final promise to him was like, \u2018I will take care of your brother.\u2019 Because at that time, I felt like I couldn\u2019t. It really just was too much. I couldn\u2019t even take care of myself. But that has kept me going of, \u2018I made a promise. I\u2019m going to fulfill it and I\u2019m gonna give Teddy the best life I possibly can.\u2019 And that means showing up for him, showing up for myself. Doing everything I possibly can to make sure that that happens.\u201d<\/p>\n
