Mike Myers says Austin Powers 4<\/em> is happening.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n The comedian just played Dr. Evil again in a new ad.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n The last Austin Powers film was 2002’s Goldmember<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Austin Powers is coming back, baby!<\/p>\n It’s been almost 25 years since the last installment of the shagadelic franchise, but Mike Myers<\/a> just casually confirmed that a fourth film is in the works.<\/p>\n Myers was a guest on Tuesday’s Trevor Noah’s World Cup Watch Party<\/em><\/a>, and when asked by Noah if there would be another Austin Powers<\/em>, Myers simply replied, “Yes.”<\/p>\n And in the great timing department, Myers revived his iconic Austin Powers<\/em> villain Dr. Evil this week in a new Verizon commercial, which also featured Seth Green, Mindy Sterling, and Rob Lowe reprising their roles.<\/p>\n Written by Myers and directed by Jay Roach, 1997’s Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery <\/em>starred Myers as the titular groovy British super agent and his nemesis, Dr. Evil. For the 1999 sequel, The Spy Who Shagged Me<\/em>, Myers put even more on his plate by creating his latest character: the morbidly obese Scottish henchman, Fat Bastard.<\/p>\n After the modest success of Man of Mystery<\/em>, the second film was a monster hit, grossing more than $300 million at the global box office (compared to the original’s $67 million).
