Over four years ago now, Olivia Wilde<\/a> experienced one of the wildest Hollywood moments caught on camera. While presenting her directorial debut, Don\u2019t Worry Darling<\/a>, onstage at CinemaCon in 2022, she was served legal papers from her ex<\/a>, Jason Sudeikis<\/a>. The moment was downright shocking to everyone involved, and Wilde herself is still reeling from the incident.<\/p>\n In an interview on the\u00a0Call Her Daddy<\/a>\u00a0podcast on June 17, the House alum addressed the incident head-on. \u201cI will never forget, one of the most f\u2014 up things that I went through \u2014 among so many \u2014 was that I was served papers on stage,\u201d Wilde said. \u201cIt was incredibly traumatizing.\u201d<\/p>\n More from SheKnows<\/strong><\/p>\n She then went on to talk about how Sudeikis, whom she shares kids Otis, 12, and Daisy, 9, with, played a part in the whole thing.<\/p>\n Jason Sudeikis at the 35th Annual GLAAD Media Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on March 14, 2024 in Beverly Hills, California.<\/p>\n \u201cI know Jason has told me that he did not know [about the timing] and I need to believe that in order to continue,\u201d she said. Wilde and Sudeikis were together for seven years before splitting in 2020 amid rumors of her relationship with Don\u2019t Worry Darling star, Harry Styles.<\/p>\n \u201cI think that lawyers can be super f\u2014 up and do f\u2014 up things, and I\u2019m aware of that,\u201d Wilde continued, partly removing responsibility from her ex. \u201cI think that people are never their best selves when they\u2019re engaging in that kind of process, and it was so f\u2014 up in so many ways.\u201d<\/p>\n RELATED: Harry Styles\u2019 New Song Hints His & Olivia Wilde\u2019s Breakup Had Everything to Do With Her\u00a0Kids<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Regardless of his involvement, the Ted Lasso star was open with Wilde about regretting how everything happened. \u201cI know it really hurt him to see it happening to me,\u201d Wilde said. \u201cI think it was undeniable that it was a f\u2014 up thing, and I know he felt very, very bad that it happened to me.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a moment that I ended up doing a lot of therapy about,\u201d she added, \u201cstill kind of do.\u201d<\/p>\n Also in the interview, Wilde explained why the moment was so traumatizing for her.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s the feeling of being on stage that is a vulnerable feeling, she said. \u201cAlso, that room couldn\u2019t have been higher stress. The people in that room at CinemaCon are\u2026 it\u2019s all the studio people. So it\u2019s all the people you were trying to impress the most with your work and all the exhibitors, the people at the movie theaters, the people you need to sell your movies, and all the press.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt was like, I cannot f\u2014 believe this is happening to me here,\u201d she reflected. \u201cAnd yet, the crazy thing is, once you make it through things like that, you kinda feel like you can make it through anything.\u201d<\/p>\n Wilde went on to date Styles for two years before splitting amicably in 2022.
