\n\tNearly one year after his mental health<\/a> episode went viral, Lil Nas X<\/a> has found a diagnosis and is ready to get back to making music.<\/p>\n \n\tOn Wednesday, the 2x Grammy winner (real name Montero Hill) announced that he has \u201cnew music on the way\u201d following a rehab stay and a bipolar diagnosis, after he was arrested for battery on a police officer<\/a> last August when he was spotted strolling down Ventura Blvd in underwear and cowboy boots. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI\u2019ve been in rehab for a few months, and since then, I\u2019ve been back at home, whether it\u2019s in Atlanta with my family or Los Angeles with myself and friends and whatnot,\u201d he updated his fans in a video on Instagram<\/a>. \u201cAnd trying to ground myself down to earth and get out of my head. I have a therapist now and a psychiatrist, which has been really helpful. When I got my bipolar disorder diagnosis, I feel like I had known for the past few years, but I didn\u2019t wanna admit to it because I didn\u2019t wanna have to take medication and have people think different of me. I mean, I\u2019m already Black and gay. Like, damn God\u2026 I\u2019m living life on like extreme hard mode.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn April, Hill had his felony assault charges dropped<\/a> when a judge ordered him to enter a mental health diversion program, following his bipolar diagnosis.<\/p>\n \n\tLil Nas X continued, \u201cOn a serious note, I\u2019m doing much better. I\u2019m doing better, I\u2019m feeling better, I\u2019m creating freely, and there\u2019s less fear in my heart, and I\u2019m just smelling the roses, man. It\u2019s been seven years, I\u2019ve been doing music for seven years now, that\u2019s crazy.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cSpeaking of music, I wanted to let you guys know that there is new music on the way, and I\u2019m not getting completely into that just yet, but I\u2019m excited to do that,\u201d he added. \u201cAnd I\u2019m excited to go on this journey with you guys, this next chapter.
