Joe Rogan<\/strong><\/a> was just trying to enjoy the fight.<\/p>\n During the Wednesday, June 17, episode of his Joe Rogan Experience<\/em><\/a> podcast, the 58-year-old comedian defended other comedians who were in attendance at the UFC Freedom 250 event<\/a> held over the weekend at the White House.<\/p>\n Rogan posted photos and videos on Instagram<\/a> of his time there in Washington, D.C., calling the experience \u201csurreal.\u201d<\/p>\n While discussing the event on his podcast, Rogan revealed, \u201cI talked a bunch of people into going that didn\u2019t want to. Like Shane Gillis<\/strong><\/a> was thinking about not going.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018Bro, you got to go. It\u2019s going to be epic. It\u2019s going to be a once-ever thing. Not a once-in-a-lifetime [event] \u2014 once in anybody\u2019s lifetime,’\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s never happened before. It\u2019s probably never going to happen again<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n Rogan alluded to how some celebrities in attendance took heat for being there because of its association with President Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a>, who also celebrated his 80th birthday<\/a> that night. In particular, Nate Bargatze<\/strong><\/a> made headlines for attending, and his rep explained in a statement to celebrity.land<\/a> that the comedian \u201cis not political\u201d and went to simply \u201cenjoy a sport he loves.\u201d<\/p>\n
