Radial Entertainment has tapped former Sony exec Carrie Ferman as the company\u2019s new chief operating officer. The news was revealed on Wednesday at the StreamTV Show in Denver during a keynote interview with Radial CEO Jeff Shultz.<\/p>\n
Ferman previously served as head of business strategy and operations at Sony Pictures TV. This reps the latest major hire at Radial under Shultz, who joined the company in December. Among other hires, he recently tapped Brendon Thomas as the company\u2019s new chief revenue officer.<\/p>\n

Her experience running operations, supply chain, and M&A integration at Sony at the level she did is a direct match for where Radial is headed,\u201d Shultz said in a statement. \u201cHer arrival puts the finishing touch on the management infrastructure we\u2019ve been building, and I couldn\u2019t be more confident in where we go from here.\u201d<\/p>\n In her role, Ferman will oversee operations including content distribution, technology and business functions, and will handle the integration of new acquisitions. She will also coordinate Radial\u2019s growing library (now at 70,000 titles) across FAST, AVOD, SVOD and TVOD platforms.<\/p>\n Ferman spent 12 years at Sony, most recently as exec VP of business strategy and operations. While there, she worked on modernizing and automating the company\u2019s digital media supply chain, developed a plan for FAST channels, handled M&A transactions and reviewed the company\u2019s domestic and international production, digital and cable assets.<\/p>\n Also at Sony, she was senior VP of strategy and M&A for Sony Pictures Television International in London. Before that, she was CEO of Renmark Media. She has also worked at NBCUniversal and Time Warner, and began ger career at the Walt Disney Co.<\/p>\n \u201cRadial has built an incredibly powerful global engine spanning every major distribution format from FAST to theatrical across 50-plus markets,\u201d Ferman said in a statement. \u201cThe momentum behind their strategy is undeniable.
