Stephen King<\/a> has been on a TV and movie recommendation spree<\/a> over the past couple of days.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday the horror master shared his thoughts on Obsession<\/em><\/a>, and on Wednesday he turned his attention to Widow’s Bay<\/em><\/a>. The popular Apple TV horror show about a creepy New England island has just streamed its finale<\/a>, and \u2014 given that the show had been described<\/a> as a “Stephen King mixtape” \u2014 it’s no big surprise that the author himself tuned in and posted a review on X.<\/p>\n

As for King’s thoughts?<\/p>\n

Overall it sounds like he enjoyed it, although he did take the opportunity to shout out another show<\/a> he’s enjoying even more.<\/p>\n

Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed<\/em><\/a> is a dark comedy\/crime thriller that follows Paula (Tatiana Maslany), a divorced fact-checker who witnesses an apparent kidnapping while on a call with a cam boy (Brandon Flynn).<\/p>\n

“Maslany and series creator David J. Rosen have crafted a compelling trainwreck of a character, one whom you’ll want to follow to the ends of the earth,” wrote Mashable’s Belen Edwards in her review<\/a>. “Or at the very least, the end of 10 pulse-pounding episodes.”<\/p>\n

Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed<\/em> is now streaming on Apple TV<\/a>, as is Widow’s Bay<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
