Blossoms<\/a> have announced their new album \u2018Songs From The Wedding Cake\u2019 along with details of their UK arena tour.<\/p>\n The Manchester indie band will drop their upcoming sixth studio album on October 2nd via ODD SK \/ Distiller Records \u2013 pre-order\/pre-save here<\/a>.<\/p>\n So far, they\u2019ve kicked off with lead single \u2018Joke About Divorce<\/a>\u2018, and today (June 18), they share new single \u2018Meet Me In Love\u2019 \u2013 along with an album trailer featuring The Inbetweeners<\/em><\/a>\u2018 James Buckley. With backing vocals from Declan McKenna<\/a>, the \u2018Meet Me In Love\u2019 video stars Maya Jama and Callum Scott Howells.<\/p>\n Produced by Shawn Lee (Young Gun Silver Fox), the album will also feature a collaboration with McKenna on the track \u2018Additional Driver\u2019. On social media, the band also teased appearances from Rick Astley<\/a> and Inhaler<\/a> frontman Elijah Hewson.<\/p>\n Blossoms called the record \u201can absolute joy\u201d to make on social media, adding: \u201cWritten and recorded over the last year, it\u2019s a collection of songs about what might seem like ordinary moments, viewed through an extraordinary lens\u2026 joking about divorce, hire cars, crying at the Kardashians, Wikipedia rabbit holes, trips to The Range, falling asleep in a taxi, your arm going numb because someone\u2019s asleep on it, the 192, being an additional driver on your wife\u2019s insurance and losing her 20 years\u2019 no-claims bonus (ffs), dancing in the kitchen to Grease, crying at videos of dogs on Instagram, picking up parquet flooring, saying the wrong thing, growing older together\u2026 you get the idea.\u201d<\/p>\n Take a listen to \u2018Meet Me In Love\u2019 and see the album tracklisting below:<\/p>\n
