Entertainment writer Ed Balint rattles off fun things to do as summer heats up in the Canton area.<\/em><\/p>\n The Country Fest<\/a> will run June 17-20 at\u00a0Clay’s Resort Jellystone Park<\/a>\u00a0near Canal Fulton.<\/p>\n Headliners are Jordan Davis on June 17; Treaty Oak Revival, June 18; Zach Top, June 19; and Kane Brown June 20.<\/p>\n Also performing are Shane Profitt, Wyatt Flores, Corey Kent, Brantley Gilbert, John Morgan, Braxton Keith, Chase Matthew, Tyler Nance, Emily Ann Roberts and Lanie Gardner.<\/p>\n For a full schedule and to purchase tickets, go to\u00a0thecountryfest.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n The\u00a0Juneteenth Community Festival<\/a>\u00a0will be June 20-21 at Nimisilla Park in Canton.<\/p>\n Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 20 and noon to 6 p.m. June 21.\u00a0Nimisilla Park<\/a>\u00a0is at 1075 O’Jays Parkway NE near 12th Street.<\/p>\n The event features musical performances, vendors, a play area for kids and community organizations.<\/p>\n United Boxing Club<\/a> will present “Fist of Freedom,” a free amateur boxing show on June 20. Fights begin at 1 p.m. The community boxing event is sanctioned by USA Boxing<\/a>.<\/p>\n The ’80s cult classic movie “The Lost Boys”<\/a> will be shown June 20 on the patio of Mike’s Pizza in downtown Canton as part of The Fourth Street Cinema Club.<\/p>\n Mike’s Pizza<\/a> is at 328 Walnut Ave. NE in the same building as Deli Ohio and Woodshop brewing.<\/p>\n Tickets cost $10. Pizza and drinks will be available for purchase. The event is 8 to 10 p.m.<\/p>\n Deaf-A-Palooza<\/a>\u00a0will be June 19-20 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium at\u00a0Hall of Fame Village<\/a>\u00a0in Canton.<\/p>\n The event brings together the deaf and hard of hearing individuals, ASL users, interpreters, allies and the broader community for live performances with ASL interpretation, cultural programming, artists, vendors, workshops, exhibitors, inflatables, carnival games, a cornhole tournament, educational opportunities, food and more.<\/p>\n The free portion of Deaf-A-Palooza runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 19-20. Performances will be visual and interpreted, and all audiences are welcome, TRIAD Deaf Services said.<\/p>\n Waterford Players<\/a> will present “Jesus Christ Superstar” June 19-21 in Tuscarawas County.<\/p>\n Performances will be 7 p.m. June 19-20 and 3 p.m. June 21.<\/p>\n Shows will be on the third floor of the Dennison Village Building at 302 Grant St. in Dennison.<\/p>\n Tickets cost $20 and are general admission. Food trucks also will be on site. There’s also live music, including Hunter Skeens and the Forerunners<\/a> at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n BADJR will perform a free concert on the lawn of Massillon Museum from 6 to 8 p.m. June 20 as part of the\u00a0Rhythms Concert Series<\/a>.<\/p>\n BADJR is described as a “captivating original-music combo” comprised of area musicians Bethany Joy<\/a>, Anthony Papaleo, Dan Socha, Josee McGee<\/a> and Ray Flanagan<\/a>.<\/p>\n A cash bar will be available. Massillon Museum is at 121 Lincoln Way E in downtown Massillon.<\/p>\n Blue Macaroon Theater Co.<\/a> in Doylestown will present “The Missing Case of Lady Abernathy” June 19-21.<\/p>\n The show is part of the Blue Macaroon Incubator Series<\/a>, which features productions spotlighting new playwrights and directors. “The Missing Case of Lady Abernathy” is an original play written and directed by T.R. Collins.<\/p>\n Performances will be 7 p.m. June 19-20, and 2 p.m. June 21. The June 19 show is sold out. Blue Macaroon Theater is at 84\u00bd N.
