It\u2019s an announcement from collecting-societies body Cisac of its new AVR+ format, which aims to ensure that audiovisual music data \u2013\u00a0think cue sheets for TV shows and films \u2013\u00a0is as accurate and shareable as possible.\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is about standardisation of the metadata, based on the \u2018Global Cue Sheet Standard 2.0\u2019 that Cisac previously announced,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cisac.org\/Newsroom\/news-releases\/cisac-publishers-and-recording-industry-come-together-upgrade-harmonised\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in September 2024<\/a>. It\u2019s also about bringing metadata on recordings and works (compositions) together \u2013 a perennial challenge for the music industry.\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBy improving the accuracy and interoperability of audiovisual music data, AVR+ has the potential to massively increase the efficiency and timely processing of usages,\u201d promised Cisac\u2019s director of business and technology Sylvain Piat.\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAVR+ is more than a technical format: it is a practical blueprint for the future of audiovisual rights data,\u201d added GEMA\u2019s Jens Kindermann, who chairs Cisac\u2019s audiovisual working group.
