Elisha Cuthbert<\/strong> rose to stardom alongside Kiefer Sutherland<\/strong> on 24, but the blonde beauty has barely changed 25 years after the show debuted.<\/p>\n Cuthbert, 43, played Jack Bauer’s daughter, Kim, on the hit series, which ran from 2001 to 2014. The star also made it big in The Girl Next Door and received critical acclaim for her comedic skills in the fan favorite comedy series, Happy Endings. While Cuthbert is back in the\u00a0new Prime Video series Every Year After, she’s opening up about why she took a four-year break from the bright lights of Hollywood.<\/p>\n In a new interview on Today, Cuthbert opened up about why she took a break from acting to spend more time with her children and husband, former NHL star Dion Phaneuf<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cI realized I worked all four years through our first child and it was really hard,\u201d Cuthbert shared during an appearance on\u00a0NBC\u2019s Today<\/a>\u00a0on Tuesday. \u201cTo separate that mom from the working person I was.
