\nThe E4 show’s relationship expert told how his significant other Jill was in hospital for surgery last week, and the couple are “deeply grateful” for all the supportive comments people have sent their way. <\/p>\n
\nHe wrote on Instagram: “Jill and I are so deeply appreciative of all the messages, prayers, love and well wishes we\u2019ve received over the last week.<\/p>\n
\n“Jill is getting a little stronger each day, and we\u2019re deeply grateful.<\/p>\n
\n“There have been literally thousands of messages. So many that we haven\u2019t been able to respond to everyone, but please know this: we have felt every bit of it.<\/p>\n
\n“Messages from family. Friends. People we\u2019ve met. People we\u2019ve never met. Strangers who somehow made us feel less alone.<\/p>\n
\n“I was at a bakery today, and a woman stopped me to say she had heard about my wife and to please send Jill her love. I don\u2019t even know if she realized how much that meant to me.<\/p>\n
\n“It has been one of the most heartwarming reminders that community is real. That kindness still moves. That people really do care.”<\/p>\n
\nPaul told how posting about his wife’s situation on Instagram has been a way of “processing life”, and the star admitted he and Jill have “felt” people’s support more than they know. <\/p>\n
\nHe added: “I like to reflect. And honestly, posting has become a kind of journal for me. A place to process life while I\u2019m still inside of it.<\/p>\n
\n“So, for what it\u2019s worth, these are some of the biggest things I\u2019ve been learning while Jill has been recovering.<\/p>\n
\n“This season has reminded me that \u201cin sickness and in health\u201d is not a line to be said lightly.<\/p>\n
\n“That children don\u2019t need to be protected from all of life, they need to be lovingly prepared for it.<\/p>\n
\n“That none of us are built to do life alone.<\/p>\n
\n“And that the moment we are in will never come again.<\/p>\n
\n“Thank you for loving my family.<\/p>\n
\n“We have felt it more than you know”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
