INDEPENDENT<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\nOslo-based singer\/songwriter and composer Resa Saffa Park unveils new single \u201cLove Is a Lonely Feeling.\u201d Born in Dubai, with her musical upbringing rooted in Liverpool (Resa is a graduate of LIPA), and now based in Oslo \u2013 Resa Saffa Park\u2019s work pulls from jazz, soul, indie and noir-pop in equal measure \u2013 drawing influence from artists as varied as Billie Holiday, Chet Baker, Mitski, Julia Jacklin and Nirvana, while sitting somewhere in the orbit of Tamino, Michelle Gurevich and Portishead.<\/p>\n
The new single, \u201cLove Is a Lonely Feeling,\u201d traces a fallout with her own artistry through picked acoustic guitar, feathered drums, and jazzy keys. Speaking more on its release, Resa Saffa Park shared:<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2018Love Is a Lonely Feeling\u2019 is my heartbreak song about my relationship with music. For a long time, the love I had for creating didn\u2019t feel strong enough to break the silence I felt in return. A quiet, one-sided devotion. I felt lonely in my artistry, and I slowly started falling out of love with music, losing trust in my own intuition. The biggest loss was not knowing when my spark faded, or where it went.\u201d<\/p>\n
Following the release of her independently released debut full-length Silver Bead Eyes<\/em> in 2025, Resa has cultivated a devoted international audience, with sold-out headline shows across Turkey and further live dates spanning Stockholm, Milan, Paris, Copenhagen and London.<\/p>\nThat sense of emotional and geographical displacement sits at the centre of Resa Saffa Park\u2019s work, as she continues:<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve always used music to understand myself and the world around me,\u201d she says. \u201cIt\u2019s the safest place I know. The place I go to tap into my deepest self. I need music to be as close to art as it can be.
