\u201cLate Night\u201d host Seth Meyers<\/a> offered his own theory as to who is really at the wheel of the Trump administration concerning Iran. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Meyers pointed out that many Republicans<\/a> are not fans of the memorandum of understanding signed by President Donald Trump<\/a> on Wednesday to halt the conflict with Iran. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n He compared the comments made by right-leaning pundits to those made about former President Joe Biden<\/a> during his administration. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cRepublicans hate this deal so much, they\u2019re doing exactly what they criticized Biden for,\u201d Meyers said. \u201cThey\u2019re saying that, actually, Trump\u2019s people are the ones who are in charge and Trump himself doesn\u2019t really know what\u2019s going on.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Meyers then played several Fox News<\/a> clips claiming that Vice President JD Vance<\/a>, who was one of the chief negotiators of the memorandum, did not keep Trump apprised of the situation. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cSo Netanyahu tricked him into the war, and now JD Vance tricked him out of the war?\u201d Meyers said. \u201cAnd you think he\u2019s doing a good job, why? Because from where I\u2019m sitting, it looks like he\u2019s a fucking pushover. Does he fall for phishing scams, too?\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Meyers added that there\u2019s a distinct reason why people refer to Vance as Trump\u2019s \u201cnumber two.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cSo if the deal works, Trump will get the credit, and if it doesn\u2019t work, JD will get the blame.
