The King and Queen once again led the Royal Ascot carriage
\nprocession on Friday as the traditional spectacle continued on the
\nfourth day of the meeting.<\/p>\n
After welcoming a host of royal and sporting figures across the
\nopening three days \u2013 including the Prince and Princess of Wales,
\nPrincess Anne and Peter and Harriet Phillips \u2013 attention turned to
\na new line-up of guests joining Their Majesties in the famous
\nhorse-drawn landaus.<\/p>\n
As has become one of the defining moments of Royal Ascot each
\nafternoon, the procession made its way down the Straight Mile
\nbefore racing got under way.<\/p>\n
In the first carriage were The King and Queen, accompanied by HH
\nPrince Saud bin Khalid bin Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al Saud and the
\nKing\u2019s racing adviser, John Warren.<\/p>\n
The second carriage carried the Earl and Countess of Caledon
\ntogether with Lord and Lady Lloyd Webber.<\/p>\n
Australian racehorse trainer Ciaron Maher and his wife Eileen
\ntravelled in the third carriage alongside one of Their Majesties\u2019
\ntrainers \u2013 Ed Walker and his wife, Camilla.<\/p>\n
In the fourth carriage were General Sir Roly Walker and Lady
\nWalker, together with Lord and Lady Benyon.<\/p>\n
The daily procession has once again provided one of the most
\nrecognisable sights of the week, bringing together members of the
\nRoyal Family with close friends, racing figures and distinguished
\nguests in a tradition which remains at the heart of Royal
\nAscot.<\/p>\n
Friday\u2019s procession came after a week which had already seen
\nnotable appearances from the Prince and Princess of Wales, who
\nreturned to the meeting for the first time since 2023, as well as
\nPrincess Anne, Peter and Harriet Phillips and a number of guests
\nfrom across the worlds of racing, business and public life.<\/p>\n
