\n\tKaty Perry<\/a> is gearing up to release new music.<\/p>\n \n\tOn Thursday (June 18), the pop superstar unveiled the cover art and release date for her new single, \u201cWatch It Burn,\u201d which arrives June 25.<\/p>\n \n\tThe artwork features a close-up of Perry\u2019s face illuminated by a glowing light, with beads of water covering her skin.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWatch It Burn June 25th,\u201d Perry captioned the image on Instagram<\/a>, along with a lit cigarette emoji.<\/p>\n \n\tThe \u201cFirework\u201d singer also opened up about the song during an interview released Wednesday (June 17) with Justin Tranter on Unfamous the Podcast<\/em>.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cIn \u2018Watch It Burn,\u2019 I am wrestling with my darkness but last year was pretty tough,\u201d Perry told Tranter<\/a>, who co-wrote the track. \u201cI have not given myself permission to be angry my whole life over things where I should be f\u2014king angry about. What I\u2019ve done is I pushed it down, but I should be f\u2014king angry.
