Fans in the UK are looking forward to the next season of Strictly Come Dancing<\/a>.<\/p>\n The show, which previously spawned the U.S. version Dancing with the Stars<\/a>, is preparing to resume in September on BBC One. On June 19, @bbcstrictly\u2019s official social media channels announced that Chris Appleton<\/a><\/strong> will join the cast for 2026.<\/p>\n More specifically, the world renowned celebrity hairstylist is famous for his attention to detail and creative vision. The ex-husband<\/a> of American actor Lukas Gage<\/a><\/strong>, Chris has styled some of the biggest names in music, entertainment and fashion.<\/p>\n In a video posted to Instagram by @bbcstrictly and BBC, producers announced their newest ballroom contestant. \u201cHe\u2019s worked behind the scenes with some of the world\u2019s biggest stars,\u201d they wrote. \u201cNow it\u2019s\u00a0@chrisappleton1\u2019s<\/a> turn to take [center] stage. Welcome to the\u00a0#Strictly\u00a0ballroom, Chris.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to his work as a globally recognized hairstylist, Chris is also a New York Times bestselling author. In his book Your Roots Don\u2019t Define You, he shared his personal journey with mental health<\/a>, dyslexia and coming out as a gay man.<\/p>\n As a hairstylist, Chris is especially known for his signature polished looks: sleek, glassy hair and voluminous ponytails.
