College basketball coach Jeremiah Samarrippas<\/b> is in mourning after the death of his 22-month-old daughter, Amelia.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are sad to share that our baby girl is no longer with us. I\u2019m not sure how we live life without her,\u201d Jeremiah wrote via X<\/span><\/a> on Thursday, June 18. \u201cShe was so special in a million different ways. Our hearts are hurting and I don\u2019t think it\u2019ll ever stop.\u201d<\/p>\n

While a cause of death was not announced, the Wofford Terriers Men\u2019s Basketball assistant coach previously asked for prayers for his daughter via X<\/span><\/a> on Monday, June 15.<\/p>\n

From the moment Jeremiah and his wife, Brooke Samarrippas<\/strong>, welcomed their baby girl in July 2024, they knew their lives had changed forever.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHollywood mourned the deaths of some of its most legendary stars in 2026. The year started off with Broadway performer and influencer Bret Hanna-Shuford\u2019s death at age 46. At the end of the month, comedy acting icon Catherine O\u2019Hara died at age 71. In February, Dawson\u2019s Creek actor James Van Der Beek died at age [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI was a girl dad and would do anything I could to protect her, love her and make sure she has anything she needs,\u201d he wrote via X, sharing the memories he will forever hold close to his heart. \u201cShe brought joy to so many people and was loved by everyone that met her.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Jeremiah, Amelia loved going to basketball games to cheer on her dad\u2019s team and always danced to the game\u2019s music. He also noted that she recently became a big sister to their youngest child, 1-month-old Jase.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe bragged to everyone about him, constantly wanted to hold him, help with him, and be attached to him. She was the best big sister in the world,\u201d he gushed. \u201cAs Brooke had to nurse and give Jase more attention the last few weeks, it really gave me a chance to build a closer relationship with my baby girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jeremiah noted that his daughter had a profound impact on his life, ensuring she will never be forgotten.<\/p>\n

\u201cMillie will always be with us and I will do all that I can to keep her memory lasting forever,\u201d he continued. \u201cRest Baby Girl. We are proud of you. Daddy loves you forever.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a separate Instagram post, Brooke paid tribute to her daughter and applauded her for fighting \u201cincredibly hard.\u201d<\/p>\n
