The artist formerly known<\/a> as Kanye West<\/a>, as promised, has deluxe-ified Bully<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Official word of Bully<\/em> indeed being expanded came with the surprise release of \u201cGEMINI SEASON,\u201d a new track Ye shared in commemoration of his 49th birthday earlier this month. For the visual element of the new track, Ye again turned to his wife, performance artist and architect Bianca Censori<\/a>, who previously directed<\/a> the video for \u201cFather,\u201d a Travis Scott<\/a>-featuring song off the standard edition of his latest solo album.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

For the deluxe, the 24-time Grammy<\/a> winner, soon set to bring his current live run to his hometown of Chicago for two shows at Soldier Field<\/a>, has given the original album a refresh with new mixes on all the tracks, in addition to two new songs. <\/p>\n

Ye\u2019s changes are subtle, but small tweaks in the album\u2019s original mix address fans who felt that Bully<\/em> felt unfinished. Ye also treated fans to an additional two songs (no \u201cNew Body\u201d for all those wondering): \u201cOK\u201d featuring Don Toliver and \u201cMISSION CONTROL.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Bully<\/em> didn\u2019t land a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 albums chart, it did open strong at No. 2. Months before its release, Ye made headlines with a full-page Wall Street Journal<\/em> ad<\/a> in which he detailed the impact of a months-long \u201cmanic episode\u201d that he said \u201cdestroyed\u201d his life. <\/p>\n

During what he described as a \u201cfractured state,\u201d Ye said at the time, he \u201cgravitated toward the most destructive symbol I could find, the swastika.\u201d He went on to affirm that he was \u201cdeeply mortified\u201d by his actions, adding that he is \u201cnot a Nazi or an antisemite.\u201d He also asked the public for \u201cpatience and understanding\u201d as he works to \u201cearn your forgiveness\u201d moving forward.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
