Harry has taken steps to reconcile with his father, King Charles, but there have reportedly been no such steps taken when it comes to his brother William. And a lot of the speculation is that William just isn\u2019t receptive to Harry\u2019s attempts, though the younger prince has indicated he\u2019d love to reconcile with his family.<\/p>\n

And now RadarOnline<\/em><\/a> is reporting that William is waiting to see if Harry follows through with his plans for Princess Diana\u2019s 30th<\/sup> death anniversary before deciding if he and Harry have any hopes of ever reconciling. Harry is said to be developing a\u00a0tribute to his mother with Netflix. His wife, Meghan Markle<\/a>, is reportedly involved.<\/p>\n

William, meanwhile, is said to believe any commemoration should be led by the royal family and handled with \u201cinstitutional oversight.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere has been growing discussion behind the scenes that Harry<\/a> and Meghan are seriously progressing with a Netflix tribute tied to the 30th anniversary of Diana\u2019s passing, and it has caused a great deal of anger for William,\u201d a source said.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom his perspective, this risks turning something profoundly private and meaningful into a public-facing commercial venture, which he finds deeply troubling. He is not reacting impulsively, though \u2013 instead, he is watching closely to see whether Harry truly follows through on these plans. If that happens, those close to William say it would mark a decisive turning point, after which he would feel compelled to draw a permanent line under their relationship when he becomes king.\u201d<\/p>\n

But of course, according to reports, William\u2019s issues in the end have to do with Meghan Markle, who seems to be a sticking point every time any possible reconciliation is discussed. And it\u2019s a sticking point that doesn\u2019t look like it can be solved, as Harry and Meghan appear to be very happy together.<\/p>\n

\u201cWilliam\u2019s view is that any major tribute of this scale should fall under the responsibility of the Crown, given that Diana was still a serving member of the Royal Family and a princess at the time of her death.\u201d<\/p>\n

Princess Diana and then Prince Charles were divorced at the time of her death. King Charles went on to marry Queen Camilla after Princess Diana\u2019s death. The two very famously had an affair while Charles and Diana were married.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe feels very strongly that her legacy carries an institutional significance that needs to be safeguarded carefully and respectfully. From his standpoint, Harry is overstepping boundaries by taking this into his own hands, and if these plans do go ahead, William is ready to respond in a much firmer and more definitive way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Is a collaboration between the brothers still a possibility? Reportedly yes on Harry\u2019s part. \u201cHe has previously made it clear he would have welcomed the chance to collaborate again, even raising the idea directly, but received no reply. Given that silence, those close to him say he feels justified in proceeding on his own and charting his own course with the project.\u201d<\/p>\n

And Harry remains firm on having his wife be part of the project. \u201cDespite William\u2019s clear reservations, Harry has no intention of excluding her from the project. For him, this is deeply personal \u2013 an emotional effort to shine a light on the charitable work and human impact that defined Diana\u2019s life, and to make sure those aspects are not overshadowed or lost over time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
