The royal family has marked Prince William<\/a>\u2019s 44th birthday, and Father\u2019s Day, by releasing a previously unseen photo of him and his daughter Princess Charlotte.<\/p>\n

The photo, taken after this year\u2019s Trooping the Colour<\/a>, was shared on Instagram on Sunday.<\/p>\n

It featured the caption: \u201cHappy birthday and Father\u2019s Day to the best Papa in the World! We love you very much. C, G, C & L\u201d and an emoji of two pink hearts.<\/p>\n

The picture was taken in the garden of Kensington Palace after the Trooping the Colour ceremony last weekend.<\/p>\n

William wears the scarlet dress uniform of the Welsh Guards<\/a>, of which he is colonel, and Charlotte wears a cream dress.<\/p>\n

In his birthday week, the Prince of Wales<\/a> was joined by his wife at Royal Ascot for the first time since 2023.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Kate and William took part in the traditional carriage ride, enjoyed the races from the royal box and even shared a joke with former England manager Sir Gareth Southgate<\/a> before the World Cup match against Croatia.<\/p>\n

The princess made her first appearance at the famous Berkshire meet since being diagnosed with cancer in early 2024 and later undergoing successful chemotherapy treatment.<\/p>\n

The couple were also part of Monday\u2019s Garter Day celebrations at Windsor Castle.<\/p>\n

But it appears to be a quieter birthday for the prince than in 2024, when he took Prince George and Princess Charlotte to see Taylor Swift at Wembley stadium.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
