\u201cDancing With the Stars\u201d is a notoriously tough reality show to appear on, and Jana Kramer is admitting she almost quit over her partner\u2019s teaching methods.<\/p>\n
The \u201cOne Tree Hill\u201d star appeared on the show in 2016 and made it to the finale, but she found the way her professional partner, Gleb Savchenko, spoke to her and continued to push her in training “really hard” to cope with.<\/p>\n
Speaking on her \u201cWhine Down\u201d<\/a> podcast, Kramer said, “I struggled with the Russian…”<\/p>\n Her guest, Hannah Brown – who won season 28 in 2019 with Alan Bersten \u2013 interjected, “Culture and the way that they teach.”<\/p>\n Kramer agreed, replying, “Yes. It was really hard. I was like, ‘Do not speak to me that way. Period.\u2019 They didn’t show this on the show, but I was like, ‘I’m done. I quit.’ I was like, ‘At that point, you can push me so far… we’re done here.'”<\/p>\n Brown admitted she had also struggled with Alan, who is of Russian descent, because of his teaching style and communication, but eventually came to realize he was simply instructing her in the way he had been taught himself.<\/p>\n “I had a lot of blowups of saying things because I was so frustrated with being talked to the way that I was talked to,\u201d Brown said. “But then you have to realize \u2014 that’s how they were talked to. That’s how they were coached, so that’s all they know. It’s really hard when you’re not used to that and you’re not a professional dancer and this is not your career. It definitely caused a lot of conflicts.”<\/p>\n Kramer said, “I knew Gleb’s intentions [weren’t] that he was trying to be mean.
