Jennifer Lopez<\/strong> went blind and suffered temporary paralysis after extreme exhaustion caused her body to shut down early in her career.<\/p>\n The 56-year-old actress and singer recalled how she had pushed herself to the limit, working 98 consecutive days without a break.<\/p>\n Appearing on\u00a0Jason Bateman<\/strong>, Will Arnett<\/strong> and Sean Hayes<\/strong>‘ SmartLess podcast<\/em>, Jennifer said: “I think I had done like four movies in a row. I had recorded second album, my J-Lo album, which was really big. I was working, filming every day \u2026 All the hours, then I would go into the studio at night, and then at the weekend I would have junkets or video shoots or whatever.”<\/p>\n “And I remember not clocking that I had worked 98 days in a row without taking a day off. \u2018Cos we went back and counted \u2018cos we were like: \u2018What happened?\u2019”<\/p>\n Jennifer experienced a debilitating collapse while she shot the 2002 thriller-action film, Enough.<\/em><\/p>\n The entertainer recalled, “One day I\u2019m sitting on the set of Enough and\u2026every time I\u2019m walking to the set I\u2019m getting a little \u2026 pitter patter in my heart.”<\/p>\n “It\u2019s like rising \u2026 Finally, it got to the point when I really feel nervous. And I had the little girl [playing her daughter] in Enough. I had to say, ‘I\u2019m really sorry sweetie, I\u2019m feeling really weird today, a little tired or something\u2019 and she\u2019s like: \u2018It\u2019s ok, you\u2019ll be alright\u2019\u2026”<\/p>\n She continued, “But I wasn\u2019t alright. And I went back to the trailer, and I sat down, and all of a sudden I just couldn\u2019t see. I couldn\u2019t see clearly, something went over my eyes, and I couldn\u2019t move.”<\/p>\n Jennifer said the incident terrified her assistant, who was also one of her close friends.<\/p>\n The\u00a0“On the Floor”<\/em> singer added, “I said to her, ‘Arlene, I can\u2019t move, I can\u2019t see.’ She goes, ‘Stop it, Jennifer, you\u2019re scaring me.’ I said, ‘No, I can\u2019t move, you should get somebody. Get Bob, my security guard. I can\u2019t move, and I can\u2019t see.'”<\/p>\n Bob rushed Jennifer to hospital, where doctors diagnosed the Office Romance star with exhaustion.<\/p>\n She remembered: “I said to the doctor, ‘Am I going crazy?’ And he\u2019s like, ‘No. You\u2019re not crazy.
