Olivia Wilde<\/a> believes her short-lived relationship with Harry Styles<\/a> was discomforting to the public because she\u2019s older than the British pop vocalist.<\/p>\n The Invite<\/em> star appeared on the Wednesday (June 17) episode of podcast Call Her Daddy<\/em><\/a> and implied her relationship with the artist \u201cupset people.\u201d<\/p>\n Wilde cast Styles in her 2022 psychological drama Don’t Worry Darling<\/a>, <\/em>and the exes dated from 2020 to 2022. The actress, now 42, is 10 years older than Styles.<\/p>\n \u201cI understand it had very little to do with me,\u201d Wilde said around the one-hour, 33-minute mark of the video below. \u201cIt is something that we have we’ve done this to women for a long time. Obsess.<\/a><\/p>\n The actress and filmmaker also called out the \u201cparasocial relationship\u201d that some of Styles\u2019 fans have with him, which she called a \u201cburden.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe carries it with grace. I think that is an enormous responsibility that all those stars have to carry, and it’s f**kingimpossible,\u201d Wilde continued.<\/p>\n The entertainer added that she and the three-time Grammy winner had the \u201cloveliest relationship\u201d and that they were able to exist in a \u201clittle bubble.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe judgment never really like got into that bubble, which was a miracle, a real testament to like to us like making that happen,\u201d Wilde explained. \u201cI think that people were mad. \u2026 It’s almost like the happiness made them mad.\u201d<\/p>\n Shortly before Wilde and Styles began dating, the actress had split from Ted Lasso<\/a> <\/em>star Jason Sudeikis<\/a> after nine years.
