Lincoln Ave., in the Main Gallery.<\/p>\n<p>Manga Dreams explores identity, media and self-perception through cyberculture and digital technology. Originating in Japan, manga \u2014 meaning \u201ccartoon\u201d \u2014 bridges popular culture and contemporary art.\u00a0 The exhibit features studio portraits of Asian youths in original, manga-inspired costumes, posing as characters they created themselves, and combines photography with digital techniques.<\/p>\n<p>Artists Jonathan Anderson and Edwin Low have been collaborating as \u201cAnderson &amp; Low\u201d since 1990.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibit tour on Saturday is free.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibit runs through Sept. 12.<\/p>\n<p>The photographers also will offer a free Photography Messaging Workshop at 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, June 30. The workshop is free, but registration is required at <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/thelovelandmuseum.org\/guest-artist-workshops\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thelovelandmuseum.org\/guest-artist-workshops<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A Cosplay Costume Reception will be held at 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, and also is free. Come in your favorite family-friendly cosplay costume, and enjoy music, mocktails and activities such as anime self-portraits, a selfie photo station and a costume catwalk.<\/p>\n<p>An Anime Film Festival will be held Friday and Saturday, July 10-11 at the Rialto Theater Center, showing \u201cSpirited Away\u201d at 7 p.m. Friday, July 10, \u201cHowl\u2019s Moving Castle\u201d at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 11, and \u201cEvangelion: 3.0+1.01 Thrice Upon A Time\u201d at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 11. All films are $5 and are in Japanese with English subtitles.
