Superman<\/em><\/a> actor David Corenswet<\/strong><\/a> is coming to Supergirl Milly Alcock<\/strong>\u2019s rescue.<\/p>\n

Corenswet, 32, stepped in and appeared to defend his costar after a photographer touched her back at the New York City premiere of Supergirl<\/em><\/a> on Monday, June 22, per footage that has gone viral via social media.<\/p>\n

In the clip<\/a>, Corenswet, Alcock, 26, and Superman<\/em> costars Rachel Brosnahan<\/strong> and Nicholas Hoult<\/strong> appear to be chatting when a photographer places a hand on Alcock\u2019s back. Corenswet can then be seen breaking away from the conversation to have words with the photographer.<\/p>\n

The actor received praise on X for his swift action, with one fan writing, \u201cDavid is superman both in the movies and in real life \ud83e\udd70.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAfter David Corenswet was cast as Clark Kent in Superman, fans couldn\u2019t help but point out how much he resembled the beloved superhero, who has been around for generations. Director James Gunn first confirmed reports that Corenswet had been cast opposite Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane in June 2023. \u201cAccurate! (They are not only both [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cA big respect for David for stepping up like that. Photographers need to keep their hands to themselves,\u201d added another.<\/p>\n

Alcock stars as Kara Zor-El\/Supergirl in the new DC Studios movie after first appearing alongside Corenswet in a cameo in 2025\u2019s Superman<\/em>. Corenswet reprises his role as Clark Kent\/Superman \u2014 Kara\u2019s cousin \u2014 in a supporting role in Supergirl<\/em>, which is due for release on Friday, June 26.<\/p>\n

The cast also includes Jason Momoa<\/strong>, Eve Ridley<\/strong> and Matthias Schoenaerts<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

In May, Supergirl<\/em> coproducer Peter Safran<\/strong> addressed casting Alcock as the latest incarnation of Supergirl, revealing how she nailed her audition.<\/p>\n
