And once again, a\u00a0<em>lot\u00a0<\/em>of AI news has arrived at all once, and so we\u2019ve pulled it together in a few bundles to try and parse it all.\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><h4 id=\"h-music-business-platforms\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Music business platforms<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Traxsource<\/strong>, the House music download store for DJs, has announced the introduction of \u201cHuman-Made\u201d and \u201cAI-Assisted\u201d music labels across its platform. The new system will flag fully AI-generated music for removal, and\u00a0classify the remaining music as either AI-Assisted or Human-Made. The company\u2019s co-founder and CTO Marc Pomeroy says that it\u2019s about providing choice for users and leaving AI creative options open for musicians: \u201cwe envision a future where shopping for music is like shopping for food today, conventional products right next to certified organic, with the choice left to the consumer.\u201d\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile,\u00a0<strong>Mngrs\u00b7ai<\/strong>, which we first\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/musically.com\/2024\/01\/25\/can-an-ai-be-a-music-manager-two-ex-midem-execs-are-finding-out\/\">wrote about in 2024<\/a>, has a new investor and strategic advisor: Cortez Bryant, the longtime manager behind Drake, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj. That\u2019s some resume, and the fact that he\u2019s getting involved with a platform like this could\u00a0erode\u00a0his authority \u2013\u00a0but it might actually say something else about the general lack of access to management skills. Bryant believes that Mngrs\u2022ai \u201ccan make the kind of structured guidance and career support that artists need accessible to millions of people who would otherwise never have access to it.\u201d<br\/>\u00a0\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"h-marketing\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Marketing<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marketers who place ads on\u00a0<strong>Snapchat<\/strong>\u00a0will start to\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/forbusiness.snapchat.com\/blog\/human-first-ai-enabled-snaps-latest-ads-innovations\">see some new AI-powered tools taking effect<\/a>. Among them is a new AI assistant which spots errors in ads, offers tips to improve ad performance, and other feedback to help boost ad campaigns\u2019 potential. The platform\u2019s \u201cDynamic Product Ads\u201d will now be AI-powered to recommend ads to Snapchat users with, it says, increased relevancy. There\u2019s also a suite of in-app upscaling and image-to-video generation tools, plus an AI-powered Snap Creator Network, that aims to help marketers and brands find creators to partner with by describing \u201caudience, tone, category, or campaign goals\u201d.\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(Snap is also gambling that users want expensive face-computers: it recently launched $2000+ augmented reality glasses which, to the mirth of some online wags, appear to sit\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/augmentedreality\/comments\/1u9k67x\/the_specs_photo_everyone_is_looking_at_and_the\/\"><em>pretty chunkily<\/em>\u00a0on CEO Evan Spiegel\u2019s face<\/a>.)\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Influencers<\/strong>\u00a0might be glancing over their shoulders: \u201cbrands are increasingly attracted by the lower costs associated with AI-generated content,\u201d says Clarissa Mansbridge, who creates AI influencers for brands.\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2026\/jun\/21\/brands-using-ai-generated-influencers-to-promote-products-on-social-media\">An investigation has found that brands<\/a>, tired of paying creators, photographers and artists to make their influencer social posts, are now using AI-generated influencers on social media to recommend their wares \u2013 and some brands are making creators sign NDAs so they don\u2019t reveal that their work is AI-generated.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have a website and access to Google Analytics, you\u2019ll have noticed a new source of traffic: AI platforms like ChatGPT \u2013\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Google<\/strong>\u00a0is now placing AI-powered answers at the top of search results. Marketers may flinch at this: it could mean that users no longer need to click through to find out what they want to know \u2013\u00a0but Google\u2019s ad chief, Nick Fox, says that \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/business.google.com\/en-all\/think\/search-and-video\/gml-2026-future-of-search-marketing-takeaways\/\">AI is giving marketers superpowers<\/a>\u201d, promising smarter ads, agentic shopping experiences (i.e. using natural language to find what product they really want to buy), and better decision-making help for consumers that ask AI \u201cwhich product should I pick?\u201d\u00a0\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><h4 id=\"h-artists\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Artists<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So what about the artists and creators themselves? Well,\u00a0<strong>SZA<\/strong>\u00a0has some thoughts \u2013\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DZ0jHiFDyFb\/?img_index=1\">posting on Instagram<\/a>, she\u00a0 angrily accused AI platforms like Suno of using the music from \u201cthe best and brightest black minds of writers and producers\u201d to train its models, and warning other artists: \u201cDO NOT TRAIN AI [WITH] YOUR GENIUS.\u201d She\u2019ll perhaps find a kindred spirit in producer-songwriter Jack Antonoff, who recently called people who made music with AI \u201cgodless whores.\u201d\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Patreon<\/strong>\u00a0CEO and musician Jack Conte\u00a0had creators in mind as\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/podcast\/952607\/patreon-ceo-jack-conte\">he explained his views on AI<\/a>\u00a0this week. On one hand, he says, \u201cboycotting AI is like boycotting the internet. That\u2019s not a good strategy.\u201d On the other, he\u00a0 called for regulation and lawsuits, saying, \u201cwhat\u2019s essentially happened is these models have\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Borg\">Borg\u2019d<\/a>\u00a0the entirety of the free creative web from all these creative people, without paying them, without letting them opt out, and without even giving them credit.\u201d\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-large\"><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For some artists, AI music is erasing the trust connection between them and\u00a0their fans.\u00a0<strong>Fenix Flexin<\/strong>\u00a0[pictured] is a rapper whose recent solo song \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/shorts\/ZXcxxi65Usk\">Rubberz<\/a>\u201d has blown up on TikTok. Its\u00a0unique sound \u2013 somewhere between 80s synthpop, hip-hop, and The Smiths \u2013 is unusual, and\u00a0 <em>really<\/em>\u00a0catchy.
