As one of the most photographed women in the world, she knows a thing or two about seeing and being seen. Now, she\u2019s shifting her perspective with an exclusive pair of Meta glasses.<\/p>\n

Out today, the collection is available in three colorways\u2014black with black lenses, dark tortoise with chocolate lenses, and black with transition gray lenses, the latter of which Jenner says is perfect for Los Angeles\u2014and features Meta AI, which she customized with her own voice prompts and greetings. \u201cI recorded all these little lines,\u201d the star tells ELLE exclusively. \u201cYou put them on in the morning and it says, \u2018rise and shine.\u2019 It just felt like something I\u2019d actually reach for every single day.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cat-eye frames reflect Jenner\u2019s ever-evolving personal style and her shift toward a more refined, understated personal wardrobe. \u201cA few years ago, I probably would\u2019ve pushed for something bolder, added more going on,\u201d she explains, echoing the minimalist sensibility seen in her newly rebranded fashion line, Khy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What made you want to partner with Meta?<\/h2>\n

Glasses have always been my thing. They\u2019re the first thing I notice on someone, honestly. So when Meta came to me and said I could actually design a pair, not just show up for a campaign, I was like, \u2018Wait, this is different.\u2019 I got to be involved in everything: the shape, the colors, the packaging, even the little chime sound it makes when you put them on.<\/p>\n

What design elements mattered most to you?<\/h2>\n

The shape, a hundred percent. I wanted something slim and oval that feels like a real fashion piece, not something that looks like you\u2019re wearing a gadget. And then the details are what really got me. There\u2019s a custom gem on the left lens that catches the light, and the charging case has a mirror inside. I know that sounds like a small thing, but to me it\u2019s not small at all. It\u2019s everything.<\/p>\n

How was designing these glasses different from designing for Khy?<\/h2>\n

My approach is honestly the same. I always start with what I\u2019d actually wear. What do I reach for without even thinking about it? The difference here is that there\u2019s real technology living inside these. So I had to learn where the camera sits, how the speakers work, and how to make all of that completely disappear so they still just feel like glasses. There was this moment where I stepped back and thought, Am I designing hardware right now?<\/em> That\u2019s not something anyone expects from me. But I\u2019ve done fashion, I\u2019ve done beauty, and this felt like the most natural next step.<\/p>\n

What inspired the design of the glasses?<\/h2>\n

I\u2019ve always been drawn to slim, minimal frames. A simple oval shape just works with everything. I wanted that energy. I also pulled a lot from how I think about beauty. In beauty, the details matter. The texture, the finish, the packaging. I brought that same thing here. The chime, the mirror, the case. Those little moments matter to me.<\/p>\n

What are your must-haves in eyewear and everyday accessories?<\/h2>\n

They have to look good. I\u2019m not wearing something every day that doesn\u2019t feel like me. After that, it\u2019s the weight and the feel. Nothing heavy or clunky. The case, the custom chime when you put them on, the packaging. If it doesn\u2019t give you that feeling when you pick it up, I\u2019m not interested. Like, it has to spark something. Otherwise, what\u2019s the point?<\/p>\n

How did your personal style influence the design of these glasses?<\/h2>\n

Where I am now, I want things that just disappear into your look. You put them on and they work with everything. They\u2019re not competing with what you\u2019re wearing; they\u2019re completing it. I think people who know my style will see these and it\u2019ll just make sense. It feels exactly like where I am right now.<\/p>\n
