\u201cDaily Show\u201d host Jon Stewart<\/a> on Monday night tore into President Donald Trump<\/a> for launching a costly war with Iran,<\/a> only to end up with the same terms that already existed in the agreement he tore up. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Over the weekend, Vice President JD Vance<\/a>, who had been negotiating with Iran, announced what he called a \u201cmajor milestone\u201d: Iran agreed<\/a> to allow International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors back in<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cOh, yeah, that\u2019s a big milestone,\u201d Stewart sarcastically agreed. \u201cWe haven\u2019t had nuclear inspectors in Iran since, oh, when you started bombing them last year.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Inspectors were also allowed under the terms of the 2015 nuclear deal negotiated under President Barack Obama.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Now, after nearly four months of war, Iran is getting similar terms plus access to a $300 billion reconstruction fund. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cWell, I hope you learned your lesson, Iran,\u201d Stewart said. \u201cThere\u2019s plenty more concessions where that came from. You mouth off again \u2013 and you\u2019re getting Greenland.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Yet Vance praised the emerging agreement as \u201ca classic Trump deal.\u201d Stewart agreed \u2015 but probably not for the reason Vance intended. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cOh, it is a classic Trump deal. Announce a bold action with grandiose ambition, and then shit the bed, and then state confidently that bed shit was the goal all along,\u201d Stewart said. \u201cAnd then, finally, name the bed after Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
