The Pitt<\/em> actor Moshe Kasher<\/strong> is opening up about his battle with cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201c3 months ago, while in Savannah, producing the new Judd Apatow\/Glenn Powell<\/strong> movie, The Comeback King<\/em>, which is going to rule so hard, I found a bump on my tonsil. It was cancer, which did not rule so hard,\u201d Kasher, 46, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Sunday, June 21. \u201cTwo days ago, a Jewish surgery robot at Cedars Sinai yanked my jaw open for 5 hours and cut it out and then slit my throat and dissected my neck leaving me with a hardcore neck scar which will make people reluctant to street fight me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kasher continued, \u201cMy tongue was clamped and yanked out of my mouth and is so swollen and bruised, I sound like I am sam.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kasher shared a photo from inside a doctor\u2019s office, where he captured a selfie of his neck and drew an arrow that read, \u201cLocation of future hardcore neck scar.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis has been the most terrifying and consciousness consuming experience of my life. My life has been terror, meditation, tears and medical planning (oh and 12 hour days on set pitching jokes),\u201d he wrote. \u201cI truly cannot believe I managed to work an entire movie while dealing with this, but Judd could not have been a more kind, supportive and nurturing friend all while on the verge of a five-hour energy overdose from his terrifying habit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kahser noted that the \u201cpeople at Cedars are all such kind pros,\u201d sharing that he feels like he\u2019s \u201cin the best hands possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m in pain and I\u2019m in the middle of a very difficult process. It\u2019s gonna be a long summer, but the good news is the cancer I have has an incredibly high cure rate (in the 95 percent zone),\u201d he wrote. \u201cI will find out next week if I need radiation or not but regardless I will be OK and back to being a cool dude ASAP.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cThe other bit of good news is that this is cancer you get from sex, so it\u2019s cool that now you know I\u2019ve officially had that (in a warehouse in the 90\u2019s! Natasha did not give me this. The bad news is HPV positive tonsil cancer is an epidemic in men under 55.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kasher encouraged his followers to \u201cget checked and vaccinate your damn kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWork out your RFK anxieties on the measles if you must, trust me, you do not want your kids to go through this,\u201d he wrote. \u201cAs for going through this \u2014 I am. I will continue. I will get better. I\u2019m so grateful I have a life that\u2019s worth living and a kid to raise this Father\u2019s Day.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cAlso, a black dude told me my discharge outfit was \u2018gas\u2019 and that was the day after Juneteenth, so that kinda makes everything worth it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kasher went on to share a selfie in the hospital, holding up a packet of syrup for the camera beside a plate of food.<\/p>\n
