Melissa Gilbert<\/strong><\/a><\/span> is saying goodbye to eight years of memories in her New York City apartment.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo long perfect little one bedroom apartment on the Upper West Side. The last eight years here have been so special,\u201d Gilbert, 62, wrote via Instagram<\/span><\/a> on Tuesday, June 22. \u201cA lot of amazing work was done in and around this city. So many theaters and soundstages. So many wonderful dinners with friends and nights out on the town.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Gilbert didn\u2019t provide a specific reason for the move, she expressed hopes of a return in the future.<\/p>\n

The Little House on the Prairie<\/i> actress\u2019 post comes as her husband, Timothy Busfield<\/span><\/a><\/strong>, continues to fight allegations in a child sex abuse case.<\/p>\n

Busfield, 69, was first indicted on child sex abuse charges by a grand jury in New Mexico on February 6. The actor was specifically indicted on four counts of criminal sexual contact of a child, the Bernalillo County District Attorney\u2019s office said in a press release obtained by Us Weekly <\/i>at the time.<\/p>\n

Busfield \u2014 who has pleaded not guilty<\/span><\/a> to the charges \u2014 recently filed a motion<\/span><\/a> to quash the grand jury indictment.<\/p>\n

\u201cTimothy Busfield is innocent. This motion describes egregious prosecutorial misconduct during grand jury proceedings, thereby preventing the jurors from hearing testimony, witnesses and evidence even after repeated requests by the grand jury itself,\u201d Busfield\u2019s civil attorney Stanton \u201cLarry\u201d Stein<\/strong> claimed in a statement to Us<\/i> earlier this month. \u201cThe government repressed and\u00a0 suppressed exculpatory evidence, misstated the law and failed in the most basic due process afforded any person under either Constitutional or State laws designed to protect actual innocence from abuse of government power.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gilbert has stood by her husband and called his arrest<\/span><\/a> \u201cthe most traumatizing experience of our lives.\u201d<\/p>\n
