After the initial Padma Awards investiture ceremony for 2026, the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, will present 65 awards at the subsequent ceremony. The first ceremony took place on May 25, while the second is scheduled for today at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. The 65 Padma awards will include two Padma Vibhushan, seven Padma Bhushan, and 56 Padma Shri. During the first ceremony, the late actor Dharmendra was honored with the Padma Vibhushan, which was received posthumously by his wife, Hema Malini. On May 25, the late actors Dharmendra<\/a> and Satish Shah were honored posthumously with the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri, respectively. Hema Malini was present to accept the award on behalf of her late husband, the Bollywood actor. Sharing a photo with the President from the ceremony on Instagram, the veteran actress wrote, “A euphoric moment! A moment when I truly felt my husband Dharam ji’s warm presence, holding my hand and guiding me to the dais where his Padma Vibhushan award awaited him.”<\/div>\n
