But on “Double Moon,” Sprague sang softly over one of her solo soundscapes, unlocking an interesting new dimension in her music. Today, we learn that “Double Moon” is the opening track from Cyano, a new album where Sprague continues to explore that approach.

Cyano shares its name with a fictional planet that Sprague came up with — a place where, according to a press release, “inhabitants are rebuilding forbidden capacities for expressivity and emotional connection.” Today, Sprague shares the new track “Sing To.” On that one, she once again adds whispery, emotive vocals to her own minimal, twinkling ambient thrum. It’s pretty. Sprague’s collaborator and life partner V Haddad created the video.
