It forms part of de Ridder\u2019s evolving approach to music programming at ENO \u2013 one that seeks to bring together artists from across the musical world, unlock new creative collaborations, and expand what audiences can expect to experience on the London Coliseum stage and beyond.\u00a0This concert is part of ENO\u2019s 2026\/27 Season, which also includes\u00a0<em>Angel\u2019s Bone<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Tosca<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Iphig\u00e9nie en Tauride<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Adriana Mater<\/em>,\u00a0<em>La traviata<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Breaking the Waves<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>Trial by Jury &amp; The Zoo<\/em>\u00a0at the London Coliseum, alongside\u00a0<em>Einstein on the Beach<\/em>\u00a0at Aviva Studios, Manchester.\u00a0BC,NR and Andr\u00e9 de Ridder have collaborated with a distinguished group of composers and artists to create new arrangements that reveal fresh dimensions of their music, showcasing the Orchestra of ENO\u2019s sound in innovative ways. The collaborators include\u00a0<strong>Owen Pallett<\/strong>\u00a0(Arcade Fire),\u00a0<strong>Josephine Stephenson<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Fiona Brice<\/strong>.\u00a0BC,NR comprises\u00a0<strong>Lewis Evans<\/strong>\u00a0(saxophonist),\u00a0<strong>May Kershaw<\/strong>\u00a0(keys),\u00a0<strong>Charlie Wayne<\/strong>\u00a0(drums),\u00a0<strong>Luke Mark<\/strong>\u00a0(guitar),\u00a0<strong>Tyler Hyde<\/strong>\u00a0(bass) and\u00a0<strong>Georgia Ellery<\/strong>\u00a0(violin). Few contemporary bands embody reinvention as boldly and consistently as BC,NR. From their Mercury Prize-nominated debut\u00a0<em>For the First Time \u2013\u00a0<\/em>a restless fusion of jazz, post-rock and klezmer \u2013 to the sweeping, chamber-pop intricacy of\u00a0<em>Ants From Up There<\/em>\u00a0(both UK Top 5 albums), the band have continually expanded their sonic world. Their acclaimed\u00a0<em>Live at Bush Hall<\/em>\u00a0marked another striking evolution, earning a five-star review from The Guardian and hailed as a \u201cmagical resurgence\u201d. Now, on their third studio album, BC,NR once again push forward with a complete creative reset emerging with a vivid, transformative new chapter that redefines the boundaries of their sound.\u00a0For this concert, they will perform new arrangements of songs from their latest studio album,\u00a0<em>Forever Howlong,<\/em>\u00a0featuring \u2018Forever Howlong\u2019, \u2018Happy Birthday\u2019 and \u2018For the Cold Country\u2019<em>.\u00a0<\/em>Their third albummarks a bold new chapter with shared vocal and songwriting duties, inventive instrumentation, and expansive arrangements, showcasing a fearless exploration of chamber pop, folk, and prog influences that cements the group as one of the most exciting voices in contemporary rock. Reaching number 3 in the UK\u2019s Official Album Charts,<em>\u00a0Forever Howlong<\/em>\u00a0was praised by NME as \u201ca promise from a band who have now thrice proven they\u2019re not afraid to take the plunge\u201d.\u00a0They are joined for this one-off performance by the Orchestra of ENO, renowned for their\u00a0versatility of repertoire, providing the musical landscape and emotional richness for ENO productions and collaborations. Andr\u00e9 de Ridder conducts following the performance with BC,NR and the National Symphony Orchestra Ireland at the National Concert Hall in Dublin in September 2026. Widely acclaimed for his stylistic versatility and bold interpretations, de Ridder works across opera and orchestral music, jazz and electronics, avant-garde experimentation and indie pop.
