\u2018The Dark\u2019 and \u2018Death is Not the End\u2019, out now via Lomo Vista Recordings, mark Wolfe\u2019s first new music since her 2024 album \u2018She Reaches Out to She Reaches Out to She\u2019, and serve as the first taste of her upcoming ninth studio album.<\/p>\n
\u2018Death is Not the End\u2019 opens with the soft plucking of an acoustic guitar alongside hushed vocals from Wolfe, which steadily unfolds in dramatic, explosive guitar riffs and a heavy, pulsing bassline.<\/p>\n
The track finds Wolfe and longtime collaborator Ben Chisolm working alongside former Nine Inch Nails<\/a> guitarist Robin Finck and session drummer Matt Chamberlain (Tori Amos<\/a>, Fiona Apple<\/a>). It comes with a cinematic music video that features Wolfe among various ocean scenes.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, \u2018The Dark\u2019 is more folk-imbued, with Wolfe singing: \u201cWho says that I\u2019ll be gone now\/A glimpse of what\u2019s to come down\/The line, the pathless path, the sound\/The stranger I\u2019ve become now,<\/em>\u201d on the track\u2019s pensive chorus.
