New details have been revealed about The Wire<\/em> star Bobby J. Brown<\/strong>\u2019s cause of death after being caught in a barn fire.<\/p>\n

An autopsy and toxicology report obtained by Us Weekly<\/em> from the Maryland Chief Medical Examiner noted that Brown \u201chad been consuming alcoholic beverages prior to death\u201d and carbon monoxide was found at 71 percent in his blood. Postmortem toxicology testing for drugs was listed as negative.<\/p>\n

The report noted that Jones had \u201cfourth-degree burns\u201d with \u201ca few brown hairs on the scalp, but the vast majority were singed off.\u201d He also had \u201cthermal fractures of the ankles.\u201d His skin was also \u201cabsent from the left chest, a portion of the left arm and portions of the lower extremities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown\u2019s cause of death was listed as diffuse thermal injury and smoke inhalation. His death was ruled an accident.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe Wire fans have mourned the deaths of several actors from the critically acclaimed drama over the years. The HBO series, which aired for five seasons from 2002 to 2008, focused on Baltimore law enforcement as they investigated the local drug scene. Each season also highlighted a different part of the city\u2019s institutions, including the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

News broke in February that Brown died at age 62<\/a>. In a statement to Us<\/em>, a rep for Brown honored the actor\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n

\u201cBobby J. Brown was a rare soul who brought a deep sense of humanity to every role he played,\u201d a rep for Brown said in a statement to Us<\/em> at the time. \u201cWhile many knew him for his strength as a champion boxer and his powerful screen presence, we knew him as a dedicated professional and a kind-hearted individual. \u201d<\/p>\n

The statement continued, \u201cHe was a true joy to represent, and he will be missed by everyone at the agency. Our hearts go out to his family, and we ask for their privacy during this incredibly difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n
