Ed Kelce<\/strong><\/a> is gushing over his future daughter-in-law, Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>, as the celebrity wedding of the year looms.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am super excited,\u201d he said of the upcoming nuptials between Swift and his son, Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a>, in an interview with Fox 29 Philadelphia<\/a> on Wednesday, June 24.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is a sweetheart that is truly the girl next door, just like Kylie<\/strong>,\u201d he added, referring to eldest son Jason Kelce<\/strong>\u2019s wife, Kylie Kelce.<\/p>\n

Ed, 75, was on hand to support Jason at his annual Team 62 Fundraiser in Sea City Isle, New Jersey.<\/p>\n

Speaking to reporters, Jason also expressed his excitement for his younger brother\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n

\u201cVery excited for my brother. I\u2019m very happy for both of them. I\u2019m looking forward to celebrating with them. It\u2019s a good year right now,\u201d he said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Asked if he is invited, Jason quipped, \u201cI plead the fifth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor and Travis, both 36, announced their engagement in August 2025 and are rumored to be marrying at Madison Square Garden<\/a> in New York City over the July 4 weekend.<\/p>\n

The New York Times<\/em> reported on Wednesday that a permit was filed<\/a> with New York City to close the streets around the arena from July 2 to July 4 for an event set to take place on Saturday, July 3.<\/p>\n

According to the Times<\/em>, several of Kelce\u2019s Kansas City Chiefs teammates have also booked hotel rooms at the nearby Marriott Marquis in Times Square for that weekend.<\/p>\n

Ed, who shares Jason and Travis with ex-wife Donna Kelce<\/strong>, previously opened up about his son\u2019s engagement<\/a>, revealing that the NFL tight end proposed two weeks before they announced the news publicly.<\/p>\n
