The Aspen Ideas Festival will run from July 25 through July 1 at the 40-acre Aspen Institute, 1000 N. Third St. The event hosts brilliant minds from around the world to discuss critical issues and inspirational ideas. The festival is divided into two parts: Festival 1 from June 25-28 and Festival 2 from June 28-July 1. The \u201cJune JAS Experience,\u201d a multi-day festival, will run from June 25-28, taking over Aspen\u2019s downtown core. Performances include a mix of jazz, soul, blues and world music performance The festival showcases a dynamic \u201cpub crawl\u201d type atmosphere spanning multiple venues. Participating locations include the Paul JAS Center, Aspen Art Museum Rooftop, Belly Up, the Wheeler Opera House, Hotel Jerome and the Limelight Hotel. M.S. Rau is hosting a special exhibit, \u201cThen, and Now Collection and Talks: Jewels by Rebecca Rau\u201d at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. June 25-27 and 2 p.m. June 28 at 307 S. Galena St. Designer Rau will share storied pieces from her family\u2019s gallery, bridging the world of ancient art and contemporary jewelry. Artifacts date from 1500 BCE to 1600 CE. Aspen\u2019s historic theater Isis Film Theatre is featuring \u201cSupergirl,\u201d \u201cToy Story 5,\u201d \u201cDisclosure Day\u201d and \u201cObsession\u201d June 26-30. The Summer Kids Film Series will feature \u201cThe Bad Guys 2,\u201d and Aspen Film Indie Showcase \u201cBest of Shortsfest 2026\u201d will screen July 1. The Basalt River Jams festival is a free, family-friendly festival hosted by the town of Basalt. The event will run from noon to 9 p.m. June 27 at Basalt River Park. Whitewater Racing LLC will host a Ducky Dash, paddle board races, tubing and kayak and raft races from noon to 4:30 p.m., with participants bringing their own gear. Summer Cabaret Series, June 28<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The 2026 Summer Cabaret Series presents Theatre Aspen\u2019s \u201cA Country Cabaret\u201d for a noon brunch or 6 p.m. dinner June 28 at the historic Hotel Jerome, 330 E. Main St. The cabaret will perform a lively tribute to country music legends. Following, there will be additional cabaret shows with a Broadway performer on July 19 and a \u201cCabaret Getaway\u201d Aug. 16.
