He\u2019s chasing consistency.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As his music career continues to gain momentum, the Philadelphia native has discovered that success on stage isn\u2019t all that different from success in the gym. Both require patience, discipline, and a willingness to keep showing up long before the results arrive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That perspective comes honestly. For Noah Richardson, that often means relying on a familiar purple-and-yellow sign.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cPlanet Fitness is old reliable,\u201d Richardson says. \u201cEverything\u2019s there. I can get the job done and do everything I need to do.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While social media often glorifies <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.muscleandfitness.com\/athletes-celebrities\/pro-tips\/luxury-real-estate-guru-aaron-kirman-guide-to-high-end-home-gyms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">luxury gyms and elaborate workout routines<\/a>, Richardson\u2019s reality is much more practical. A lot of crazy stuff, we may add.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over the years, he\u2019s watched grieving family members argue, seen funeral processions turn into celebrations, and witnessed enough bizarre requests to fill an entire album\u2019s worth of stories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cPeople would say, \u2018I want to be buried with a pack of cigarettes. I want to be buried with a six-pack of Miller Lite,&#8217;\u201d Richardson recalls. \u201cAnd we\u2019d be like, \u2018Sure, we can do that.&#8217;\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Being raised in Philadelphia only added another layer to the experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the Eagles\u2019 historic Super Bowl run, Richardson remembers services where mourners showed up in Eagles jerseys and celebrated their loved ones with chants usually reserved for Lincoln Financial Field.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEveryone was wearing Eagles jerseys during the funeral and doing Eagles chants,\u201d he says. \u201cI was like, this is amazing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then there were the moments that could only happen in Philadelphia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI\u2019ve seen multiple people try to run and jump into the grave,\u201d he says, laughing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As bizarre as some of those memories may sound, growing up around loss gave Richardson a perspective few people develop at a young age.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He learned that every person has a story. That life rarely goes according to plan. And that people ultimately want to be remembered for exactly who they were. Quirks, flaws, passions, and all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those lessons continue to influence his songwriting today.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The honesty that defines Richardson\u2019s music comes from spending years watching people at their most vulnerable, most emotional, and often most human.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s also why he doesn\u2019t seem overly concerned with timelines, trends, or comparisons. Because after seeing what truly matters to people at the end of their lives, he\u2019s learned something many spend decades trying to figure out:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Show up. Work hard. Love your people. I\u2019m lucky to have good people around me who are good listeners.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Sleep Is Non-Negotiable<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ask Richardson what has changed most as he\u2019s gotten older, and the answer comes quickly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sleep.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOh my God, sleep is everything,\u201d he says.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At 27, he\u2019s learned that recovery matters far more than it did in his early twenties.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI used to be able to stay up until three in the morning and get up and be fine,\u201d he says. \u201cNow that\u2019s not the case.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That realization has become especially important for protecting his voice. Richardson compares vocal health to strength training. Both require proper technique, recovery, and consistency.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt took me a really long time to learn proper vocal technique,\u201d he says. \u201cJust like lifting, there are so many different mechanisms involved.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After performances, he often limits conversations with his bandmates to give his voice time to recover. A difficult task for someone who clearly enjoys the camaraderie of life on the road.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Fueling Up Between Shows<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nutrition remains a work in progress.
