\n\tIt\u2019s been more than a year since Blondshell<\/a> released 2025\u2019s spectacular If You Asked for a Picture,<\/em> but she\u2019s back again with more evocative rock songs. The singer-songwriter, whose real name is Sabrina Teitelbaum, just unveiled her third album Violins<\/em>, set for a Sept. 25 release via Partisan Records.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis record\u2019s heavy in a way,\u201d Teitelbaum said in a press release, adding that her goal \u201cwas to have songs that hit hard.\u201d Produced by Yves Rothman, mixed by Beatriz Artola, and mastered by Emily Laza, Violins<\/em> features 11 tracks that \u201cexplore troubled friendships, religion, the body, and the long, unglamorous work of healing,\u201d per a press release.<\/p>\n

\n\tTeitelbaum has shared the first glimpse into the album with the explosive title track. Guitars clash and crash before coming to a brief halt in the chorus as she sings, \u201cWait, what\u2019d you say?\u201d The song comes with a striking visual where Teitelbaum finds herself in a beige hallway, desperately trying to keep an ice sculpture of a fawn from melting. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis song sums up the album in a lot of ways,\u201d the musician said in a statement. \u201cWhen I was writing I felt really drawn to images of patience and kindness, for example putting your head on someone\u2019s shoulder, alongside images of violence.\u201d Teitelbaum also shared how she was \u201cinspired by the idea of healing slowly,\u201d and realized \u201cthings genuinely just take the time they take.\u201d Violins <\/em>finds Teitelbaum \u201cnot at a point in life where I can have a no assholes policy yet, but I like the idea of weeding out people that aren\u2019t going to let me have limitations.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe full track list for Violins<\/em> has yet to be announced, but the album includes Teitelbaum\u2019s latest single, \u201cHeart Has To Work So Hard,\u201d which was released last month. At the time, the singer-songwriter also announced the Scaring Strangers Tour, her biggest headlining tour to date. After a few festival slots this summer, Teitelbaum will kick off the tour this August in San Diego.<\/p>\n
