Kelsey Grammer<\/a><\/span><\/strong> remains disappointed that Spencer Pratt<\/span><\/a><\/strong> didn\u2019t advance in<\/span><\/a> the Los Angeles mayoral race.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat Spencer brought to this particular race was the status quo has failed us here, failed us in an enormous way, and most people understand that the voting process here \u2014 or protocol here \u2014 has revealed a lot of shortcomings,\u201d Grammer, 71, exclusively shared with Us Weekly<\/i> while celebrating Fox Nation\u2019s new documentary The Patriot War<\/i><\/span><\/a>. \u201cA lot of it just doesn\u2019t make sense anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Pratt, 42, was initially in second place behind current mayor Karen Bass<\/strong>, the final vote count<\/span><\/a> placed Nithya Raman<\/strong> in the No. 2 spot. She will face off against Bass, 72, in November.<\/p>\n

According to Grammer, many Los Angeles voters were \u201cfed up with the way\u201d the city was doing things. He also cited how the devastating wildfires in Altadena and the Pacific Palisades were handled.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSpencer Pratt is saying goodbye to reality TV and hello to politics. Exactly one year after a wildfire burned down his family\u2019s home in Pacific Palisades, California, Pratt announced that he was running for mayor of Los Angeles. \u201cThe system in Los Angeles isn\u2019t struggling; it\u2019s fundamentally broken,\u201d Pratt said at the \u201cThey Let Us [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe people who have been in charge \u2014 our leaders, supposedly \u2014 have been asleep on the job, and we need to hire somebody else,\u201d Grammer claimed. \u201cDoesn\u2019t look like we\u2019re going to this time, but you know, maybe the clock is running out for these clowns. I\u2019m not happy with them.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor continued, \u201cI hope we clean it up. I hope some responsible thinking gets involved at some point. I hope responsible voting and counting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Election officials have maintained that the voting process in Los Angeles is fair and accurate. Experts have also claimed that more conservative and Republican voters turned in their ballots early, while many Democrats waited until the last minute to vote.<\/p>\n

When asked whether celebrities should speak out for specific politicians, Grammer argued it is a positive for every American to get \u201cinvolved.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you have an opinion, you go ahead and express it,\u201d he said. \u201cI pray that you would express an opinion in a wise way and an informed way. \u2026 I think you do need to be responsible about it. You can\u2019t start spouting off without education. If you don\u2019t know what you\u2019re talking about, maybe you shouldn\u2019t talk.\u201d<\/p>\n

One thing Grammer won\u2019t hesitate to discuss is his new project with Fox Nation. The Patriot War<\/i> is a new series that explores America\u2019s fight for independence and George Washington<\/strong>\u2019s faith and tenacity.<\/p>\n

The program aims to reconnect audiences with the foundational principles and historical figures who shaped the United States.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s another sort of page in my ongoing dedication to getting the story of our past out there \u2014 our history,\u201d Grammer explained to Us<\/i>. \u201cI\u2019ve been involved with Fox Nation on, I think, four projects, but this one I feel particularly good about.\u201d<\/p>\n
