Bella Hadid<\/strong><\/a> is getting candid about her health.<\/p>\n

The supermodel, 29, was open and honest in a series of Instagram Stories<\/a> on Thursday, June 25, describing a recent flareup of her Lyme disease. (Hadid was first diagnosed with Lyme disease<\/a> in 2012 when she was 16.)<\/p>\n

Hadid reshared a friend\u2019s photo of a gift the model had sent her containing Hadid\u2019s new perfume, Orebella. \u201cEven when I\u2019m down\u2026. Seeing my best friends get little gifts from me from afar, at least to be there in spirit with them when I don\u2019t feel well,\u201d she wrote over the image. \u201cAnd then on top of it, seeing how much hard work my beautiful team puts in for me and my dreams\u2026. It makes me emotional\u2026. Thank you to my tribe for keeping me afloat.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hadid followed up with another Instagram Story, a close-up photo with a tear rolling down her face, and detailed the chronic symptoms she experiences as a result of her illness.<\/p>\n

Bella, however, wasn\u2019t the only one in her family who has been publicly battling the illness. Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, confirmed at the Global Lyme [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cHaven\u2019t been able to shake off this flareup\u2026 Slept 11 hours. Again\u2026. Nap every day. Took every protocol from any and every doctor I\u2019ve seen. Still nothing helping,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow I\u2019ve diagnosed myself with 12 other things, so that\u2019s good,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

Hadid went on, \u201cAnd today is not the day to tell me to journal. And yes, I drank water. And no, I didn\u2019t go on a walk because I was out of breath walking to the kitchen. I don\u2019t think there\u2019s a singular brain cell in there working and my last two are beefing with each other so I\u2019m sorry if I ever told you on a bad day to journal. I take it back and I\u2019m sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n

In brighter news, she wrote, \u201cI took a shower without fainting tho\u2026 so again, if you know you know\u2026.that felt like a really big accomplishment for me today, so maybe someone can send me a cookie or something.\u201d<\/p>\n
